I Finally Got My Hands on Nexusoftex Face Towels — and I Have Thoughts About a Lid.

Plain brown mailer. Nothing fancy. I respect that.
No excessive packaging. No plastic sleeve over a box inside another box. Just a clean brown mailer with the product inside. The box itself is white with green details — thicker cardboard than I expected. It feels like something you'd keep on your counter, not shove in a drawer.
But I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's talk about the thing I was actually curious about.
The magnetic lid. I rolled my eyes at first.
When I read "magnetic flip lid" in the description, I thought: it's a box. For towels. How exciting can a lid possibly be?
Then I opened it. It closed with this quiet click. Not loud. Just... precise. Like a nice car door. I picked up the whole box by the lid and shook it gently — stayed shut. The magnet is strong enough to hold but light enough to open one-handed while your other hand is holding a dripping face over the sink.
Which is exactly when you'd need it to be easy.
My old brand had a tuck-flap that ripped after two weeks. I didn't realize how annoying that was until I used something that wasn't annoying. The magnetic lid isn't a gimmick. It's just... better. And it's the kind of thing you don't think about until you've used it for a week and then you can't go back.
The window. Also small. Also matters.

Pulled the first one out. It's thick — you feel the weight immediately. 90 GSM. The texture is somewhere between a premium cotton pad and a soft washcloth. Dry, it feels substantial. Not scratchy at all.
Wet test: soaked it under the tap. Didn't disintegrate. Didn't get that sad limp thing cheap towels do. Stayed structured. Patted my face dry — absorbed evenly, no lint, no pilling. Used it to wipe down the counter after. Still intact. One towel, two jobs.
The thickness matters more than I thought it would. With 80 GSM towels I'd sometimes grab two if one felt too thin. With these, one is enough. Every time.
A week in — what stuck
- The lid. I keep coming back to the lid. It's the thing I notice every morning because I use it every morning. One-handed open while my face is dripping. Satisfying close. Stays shut. No ripped cardboard flap.
- I'm using fewer towels. One actually does the job. With thinner ones I'd sometimes grab a second. Hasn't happened once with these.
- The box looks good on the counter. This shouldn't matter but it does. Clean. Minimal. Doesn't scream "skincare product."
- No irritation after a week. Combo/acne-prone skin, calmer than usual. Could be the towel, could be the patting-not-rubbing switch, could be coincidence. Too early to say for sure.
What I'd change
The matte white box looks great now. Curious how it holds up in a humid bathroom after a few months. Matte finishes can get grubby. We'll see.
First towel in the box was weirdly tight to pull out. After that they dispense smoothly one at a time. That's genuinely the worst thing I can say about it. The first towel is slightly stuck.
Worth it?
It's been a week. Too early for a definitive verdict. But first impression: this feels like something designed by people who actually use face towels. The lid. The window. The thickness. None of it is accidental. Someone on the design team got annoyed by the same things I got annoyed by and fixed them.
At $9.99 for 50, it's not the cheapest. Not the most expensive either. For the packaging quality and the towel thickness, it feels fair.
I'll do a proper one-month update. But right now? Pleasantly surprised. Especially by a lid. Never thought I'd write 200 words about a lid.
